Zero Restriction | Building the Featherweight Qualifier Jacket

Zero Restriction started in 1991 with a Gore-Tex® rain jacket for golf. For the 2009 edition we deconstructed the icon, and put the parts together in a new way.

A minimalist approach to design helps address the golfer's need for freedom of movement in a waterproof jacket that is light and packable. We use GORE-TEX® PACLITE® fabric, with Gore's "Guaranteed to Keep You Dry" promise. It's extremely breathable, very light, and completely wind and waterproof.

The ZR patented Expansion Back Pleats give full freedom of movement in the golf swing. A test of stretch panels in place of the pleats  confirmed the effectiveness of this patented feature. Waterproof zippers mean less weight, and we glue in the zippers on the hand pockets and chest pocket for a clean finish. Zipper garages at the top of the zips finish the clean look, and keep the zippers puller from  rattling in the breeze. The cuffs feature ZR molded tabs with hook and loop closure, and a little elastic for comfort and a fine-tuned fit. ZR molded zipper pulls add a finishing touch for ease of operation on the waterproof zips.

Performance enhanced patterns around body articulation zones give a contemporary fit to the shoulder and arm hole, and a slimmer sleeve with room to move. Less really is more.

The end result? A very lightweight, fully waterproof, breathable jacket optimized for golf, for comfort in all condtions on the course. Tour players, PGA Professionals and fashion editors have tried on this jacket, and every one marvels at the light weight, ease of swing and clean design. Experience the performance of Zero Restriction and see what the right jacket can do for your game.
